Reacting to Dhurandhar The Revenge, the veteran filmmaker praised its writer-producer-director, Aditya Dhar, and also remarked that the industry should take motivation from the film's success.
On the night of March 20, Rakesh Roshan wrote on his Instagram handle, “I just watched Aditya Dhar’s historic Dhurandhar, and it is a reminder to all of us filmmakers to pause and reset the fabric of cinema with the vision, passion and audacity with which Aditya has made Dhurandhar. He has started a new era in filmmaking!”
He further said, “This should not be considered as a threat, but a healthy and much needed revolution in storytelling and entertainment. It was about time, and @adityadharfilms has delivered beyond expectations! God bless and more power to you, Aditya!”

Dhurandhar The Revenge is produced by Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios and Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar’s B62 Studios. The sequel stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and others. The film is on a record-breaking spree, having collected Rs. 40 crores in paid previews, shocking the industry and trade. On March 19, when the film had a full-fledged release, it ended up collecting Rs. 75 crores, while on March 20, it earned Rs. 70 crores. All eyes are on Saturday and Sunday when the film is expected to collect Rs. 80 crore plus.
