As Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar The Revenge arrives in theatres, the Ranveer Singh starrer is already generating strong buzz among audiences. Amid its release, casting director Mukesh Chhabra took to social media to share a heartfelt note celebrating the filmmaker, crediting him for creating what he described as a cinematic spectacle.
Reflecting on his experience of working closely with Dhar over the years, Chhabra expressed admiration for the director’s creative brilliance and dedication. A part of his long note read, “Dhurandhar happened. I have seen you closely over the years, but I had no idea that the person I knew was actually a genius...truly a genius. The way you've made this film..the detailing, the conviction, the emotion...but more than that, the way you respect every single person around you, the love you give, and the love you receive - it's something rare. And now the entire country is seeing it, feeling it, and talking about you. And you know, the best part....while we were working on the film, you kept saying, "You'll see...you'll see what I'm going to do."
Chhabra further acknowledged Dhar’s unwavering conviction in bringing both Dhurandhar and its sequel to life, adding, "I just want to say this - Aditya, you are the real hero. Thank you for making me a part of your vision. And I know this is just the beginning. People only see 50% of what you're capable of." He continued, "What you've done with Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge, people will be talking about these films for many, many years."

Sharing more about their collaboration, Chhabra highlighted how working with Dhar stood apart from his experiences with other filmmakers. “I've worked with so many great directors - a long list of incredible people. I've been working, I am working and I will keep working with many more. But with you...it's different. Working with you is something I will always look forward to. It feels like - okay, now the magic is about to begin. I'm just very, very proud. Thank you for trusting me, for giving me this film.”
He concluded the note on an emotional note, stating, “Today, I'm not just your collaborator - I'm your fan.”
The Dhurandhar franchise has steadily built a strong reputation, with the first installment emerging as a major box office success. The sequel, Dhurandhar The Revenge, is expected to continue that momentum, expanding the narrative with higher stakes and new twists.
Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the spy-action thriller intensifies the story with a revenge-driven narrative and high-octane action. Written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, the film is backed by producers Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, and is currently running in theatres.
