Known for his impeccable comic timing, Raju Srivastava won the hearts of not just the audience but also of many of his industry colleagues, including the megastar Amitabh Bachchan. His sudden demise left the nation shocked. His wife and daughter often recall their fond memories with the late comedian and share them on social media. In one such post recently, wife of the comedian, Shikha Srivastava shared a throwback video of Raju in his elements as he enjoyed humming a melodious Kishore Kumar song ‘Yaadon Mein Ho’ (Swami, 1977).

In the post shared by Shikha Srivastava, she shared a heartfelt note along with it saying, “It’s been a month since you’re gone but we know you’re still with us and will continue to be… ??” Furthermore, she wrote some verses from the song ‘Yaadon Mein Ho’ in Hindi, “Dhadkan ka bandhan dhadkan se hai… Naina mere aasuon se pooch rahe gaye ho kahan… Yaadon mein ho baaton mein ho ab toh sirf sapno mein ho..” She added, “Nahi pata tha ki yeh gaan itni jaldi (sirf 12 dino mein) haqeeqat mein tabdil kar deyenge… Nahi pata tha ki dhadkan hi dhoka de jayegi..Sabko hasate hasate humein yun rula jaoge (I didn't know you would change this song into reality so soon (in just 12 days). I did not know that heartbeat will betray you, you will make us cry while making everyone laugh)”

Raju Srivastava suffered a cardiac arrest in August 2022. After being admitted to the hospital, the late comedian was on and off the ventilator for a while and eventually died during his treatment in Delhi. The comedian started off his career with small roles in Hindi cinema and shot to fame with the reality show on comedy, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He was considered to be one of the most popular Indian comedians.
