A journalist from a major Hindi publication posted a video from Uttar Pradesh showing Rajpal Yadav answering questions while surrounded by others. In the video, as another journalist records, Rajpal is asked about his upcoming film projects. He responds that audiences can expect to see him on screen every 1.5 months.

The journalist then shifts the topic to Rajpal's recent Diwali statement, which visibly irritates the actor, prompting him to snatch the phone away. According to the journalist who posted the clip, Rajpal even attempted to throw the phone, but the video still captured the incident and is now going viral on social media.

Earlier this week, Rajpal Yadav urged his fans not to burst firecrackers during Diwali, citing concerns about air and noise pollution. However, following backlash, he deleted the post and shared a new video on his social media.

In the new video, Rajpal said in Hindi, “Hello friends. Best wishes for Diwali! Two days ago, a video was shared on my social media handles, which I got removed at once. I profusely apologise for whoever was offended by the video from around the world. I wish you celebrate Diwali with fanfare, be healthy and busy. Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!” In his caption, he clarified that his intention wasn’t to dampen Diwali celebrations.

Rajpal Yadav’s most recent appearance was in Anees Bazmee's horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, where he returned as Chota Pandit, a role he first played in Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007). He reprised the character again in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022), also directed by Bazmee, with whom he previously collaborated on Welcome Back (2015). Up next, he will feature in Kalees’ action thriller Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan.
