Actor Rajpal Yadav has dismissed reports claiming that he broke down in court or told the judge he was facing financial difficulties. In a conversation with the news agency IANS, the actor clarified that such stories are untrue and were created on social media by people who are not aware of the actual facts of the case.
Rajpal said that many posts circulating online are based on imagination rather than reality. He added that some content is shared by so-called well-wishers, while others spread misinformation despite having no knowledge about the matter. “Don't believe the imaginary stories of social media. Whatever is being printed, some of the stuff is being pushed by the well-wishers, while other is being spread by the people who do not know anything about the subject. They are also running their shops like this, and I respect everyone,” he told the agency.
The actor further remarked that people should only associate him with laughter. “If one looks at Rajpal’s face, there should be a burst of laughter; do not expect anything more than that,” he said, stressing that the claims about him crying in court are false.
Rajpal also revealed that he received strong support from members of the film industry during this challenging phase, though many of those who helped him were not mentioned on social media. He added that his family has been a pillar of strength as well.
The actor was recently granted interim bail by the Delhi High Court in a cheque bounce case. He has been given relief until March 18 to attend his niece’s wedding in Shahjahanpur. During the hearing, his lawyer informed the court that a demand draft of Rs 1.5 crore had been submitted. The court also directed him to surrender his passport. The next hearing is scheduled for March 18.
