Rajkummar Rao sings ‘Maeri’ and breaks into bhangra; Patralekhaa cheers him on at their wedding reception : Bollywood News

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa got married in November 2021 in intimate ceremony in attedance of their family and friends. Rajkummar has now uploaded a candid video from the wedding reception, in which he sang ‘Maeri’ on stage while Patralekhaa and other guests cheered him on.

The actor was seen on stage in a black tuxedo, surrounded by his friends in black suits, in a video uploaded by him on Tuesday. Actor Abhishek Banerjee from Paatal Lok and singer Tushar Joshi are also among them. They all sang ‘Maeri’ together with the band and danced to it as well. Rajkummar even bursts into bhangra and dances like no one is looking at one point.

Patralekhaa cheers them on from the audience, dressed in a white silk saree with heavy jewelry and vermilion on her forehead. On Instagram, Rajkummar posted a video from the reception and wrote, “#Maaeri @patralekhaa Humarishadi ki ye suhani sham. Kahte hain gana aaye na aaye gana chahiye especially when it turns into an impromptu singing session."

He continued, "Thank you @tusharjoshiii you super talented boy, for letting us sing one of our favourite Hindi songs. With the most wonderful @anishjohn83 @vinraw @nowitsabhi.”

Rajkummar and Patralekhaa married in Chandigarh in front of a small group of family and friends. There was a white wedding and combined engagement ceremony, a pajama party, and a Hindu wedding followed by a reception. Rajkummar had shared the first wedding photos with a caption that read, “Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship, and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband @patralekhaa. Here’s to forever .. and beyond.”
