In a recent statement, Santoshi emphasized the pivotal role essayed by Shabana Azmi in the narrative, describing her character as central to the film's storyline. He said, “Shabana ji has played various kinds of characters in her life perhaps any actress has portrayed such a variety of characters. She is a tremendously talented actress and her character in Lahore 1947 is a central character in the film and the story revolves around her character.”

The upcoming film Lahore 1947, produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, is one of the anticipated films to come out. The periodic film boasts one of the most prominent and creative names in the entertainment industry, as the trio of Sunny Deol, Rajkumar Santoshi, and Aamir Khan are teaming up for the first time for this film.
