Raj Kundra compares being in jail to Salman Khan-hosted show Bigg Boss: “People there have big egos” : Bollywood News

Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra compared his time in jail to being in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss. For the unversed, the entrepreneur was arrested in July 2021 for allegedly being involved in a pornography case and spent two months in jail before being released on bail.

During his live session on a social media platform, Kundra said, "Jail is like a Bigg Boss house; people there have big egos, and you can't act over-smart." He added that it was an experience he wouldn't wish upon anyone.

Kundra also spoke about the challenges he faced in jail, such as getting proper sleep and food. He revealed that he met a few people who were struggling to get out of jail because they had no one to pay their bail. Kundra said that he has helped a few of these people with their legal team.

The entrepreneur expressed his gratitude towards his wife Shilpa Shetty for her unwavering support during his difficult time. He said, "My wife has been a hard rock support for me. There was a point in jail when I told her that if I had to live here for 10 days more, I'd come out in a box, but she gave me strength and power and told me that this time would go away and reminded me that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

Kundra also thanked his friends from the industry, R Madhavan, Rohit Roy, and Harman Baweja, for their support. He said that they have been his confidantes and best friends. He described Madhavan as a great friend who has always given him the right guidance and advice in life.

Kundra's debut film UT 69, which is based on his time in jail, was released in theatres on Friday, November 3.
