Following speculations around their relationship, Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra got engaged to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha on May 13 in New Delhi. Amid the much fanfare, the two of them received blessings from their families, friends, colleagues and more. Following their engagement, Parineeti even took to her social media accounts to thank everyone for their well wishes. Now, a video of Chadha has gone viral on the internet where Former Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu is teasing him about his first love.

Before his relationship was confirmed and he got engaged to Ishaqzaade actress, Chadha was addressing an issue at the Parliament in front of the speaker Naidu when the latter asked him about ‘pehla pyaar (first love)’ which made him blush. “Raghav, mere khayal se pyaar ek hi hota hai na. Ek baar, dusri baar, phir aisa hota hai? Nahi na? Pehla pyaar hi hota hai," Naidu asked Raghav, which left everyone in splits.

A blushing Raghav responded, “I am not this experienced, sir. Abhi jeevan mein itna anubhav nahi hua hai par acha hota hai." To which Naidu said, “Pehla pyaar acha hota hai, wahi humesha rehna hai. Zindagi bhar…"

A day ago, Parineeti Chopra released a joint statement in which she said, “Raghav and I are overwhelmed with the love and abundance of positivity we have received over the past few weeks, particularly on our engagement. We both come from different worlds, and it's amazing to know that our worlds also unite with our union. We have gained a bigger family than we could have ever imagined.”

She continued, “We are so touched by everything we have read/ seen, and we cannot thank you all enough. We embark on this journey knowing that you all are standing with us. A special shout-out to our amazing friends in the media. Thank you for being there through the day and cheering for us. Love Parineeti & Raghav.”

As per reports, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha have been long-time friends as they studied together at the London School of Economics. They also follow each other on Instagram. They were first spotted together grabbing dinner. Following which, Raghav came to pick her up at the Delhi airport, adding fuel to their wedding rumours. As per several reports, they are committed and will tie the knot soon.

On the work front, Parineeti Chopra will next star in Akshay Kumar-led Capsule Gill. She also has Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh.
