Actor Radhikka Madan is gearing up for Subedaar, an action drama that places a father–daughter relationship at the centre of its narrative. In the film, she plays Shama, the daughter of a decorated officer portrayed by Anil Kapoor.
Having previously appeared in films like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Pataakha, Angrezi Medium, and Shiddat, Madan has often gravitated towards emotionally layered roles. With Subedaar, she steps into a project mounted as a large-scale entertainer, but one that, she insists, carries strong emotional weight. At the trailer launch, the team highlighted that while the film promises action and scale, its core lies in the bond between a father and his daughter. Madan described the story as deeply personal, saying, “This one’s for the daughters and the fathers.” She added that though the film may appear action-heavy, “it has a lot of soul,” emphasising that the father–daughter relationship “grounds our film” and makes it “really emotional.”
Speaking about her character, she noted that Shama comes across as fierce and almost unbreakable, yet shares a special connection with her father. “She carries his blood in her veins,” Madan said, hinting that audiences will see his reflection in her strength and choices.
Recalling her experience on set, she described the dynamic with Kapoor as intense. “Anil sir and I were either angry or crying,” she said, explaining that their characters often operated in emotionally charged situations. Calling it a privilege to share screen space with him, she added that she learned a great deal from his energy and discipline.
