Rocking cowboy outfits in the country-themed music video, PSY and SUGA go off at each other in one of the wildest music videos with foot-tapping tunes and catchy choreography. The humour quotient is a typical PSY vibe with him paying ode to 'Gangnam Style' which completes 10 years this year. PSY, who makes his return to the scene after five years, croons, "Long time no see, huh? / It's been a minute, huh? / We're back to laughing, crying, living, loving / Let's get loco Pandemic's over, uh / Yeah, feeling amazing, uh / The vibes are coming, uh/ Everybody say."

This marks SUGA's first appearance in a collaboration music video, for which he was only planning to write and compose the song at first. Belting our his fiery verses and some choreography, SUGA narrates his musical journey before dropping his and PSY's real names in the verses, "Bruh, you forget what I do for a living? (That, that, I like that) / Like that / Still here withstanding the test of time (That, that, I like that) / Like that / I don't care, I don't care that I like that (That, that, I like that) / Like that / To everyone I've longed and longed for / Everybody get ready, set, go / What doesn't kill you makes you stronger / Haters gonna hate, players gonna play / That's enough, go-oh-oh-oh /
Just shut up and play let's go-oh-oh-oh / Min Yoongi and Park Jae-sang

Ahead of the release, PSY and SUGA spoke of the time they met each other for the first time and how they feel like they’ve become good friends. “When meeting younger artists, I don’t want to be someone who’s hard to approach,” Psy said. “[SUGA] wasn’t just my junior in the business, but also he truly feels like a friend. It was hard to feel any age gap.”

Meanwhile, SUGA noted that he had initially been “nervous” about working with PSY because “he’s many years my senior and someone so who’s so well-respected in the business”. However, the BTS member added that it actually “felt like working with a childhood friend, so it made the songwriting process that much more fun. We became besties in a way.”

Psy 9th marks PSY’s first comeback in about five years, following the last album PSY 8th 4X2 = 8, which was released in May 2017. The forthcoming album has officially dropped on April 29 which includes features with Suzy, Jessi, HWA SA, Tablo, and Crush among others.
