On Monday, actress Pooja Gor wrote a touching tribute to her Pratigya co-star and veteran actor Anupam Shyam, who died of multiple organ failure.

Anupam Shyam died in the early hours of Monday at Lifeline hospital in Goregaon, where he had been confined for four days. He was 63 years old at the time. He had starring parts in a number of films and television shows, the most notable of which was Star Plus' daily serial Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya.

Pooja played the titular character with Anupam, who played her father-in-law Sajjan Singh Thakur. Pooja csaid in an Instagram post that their off-screen connection was that of a student-teacher.

Anupam Shyam's most recent project was season two of Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, which he recently finished shooting.
