Prabhudheva wears several hats. He is one of the most talented choreographers and dancers, along with an actor and filmmaker too. In a recent interview, he spoke about how he is overjoyed about the victory of RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the Oscars.

Prabhudeva told ETimes, “What a proud moment for all of us. Keeravani sir, (lyricist) Chandrabose, the choreographer Prem Rakshith… they have all given their best to create an iconic song and dance. It‘s brilliant, simply brilliant. I myself feel like doing the Naatu steps all the time. It is highly contagious.”

Coming to his own professional front, Prabhudeva said that there are currently no intentions for a return to Mumbai or Bollywood. He said, “But plenty of work in Chennai. I want to be here in Chennai close to my two sons who are growing up and need me to be around them.”

India bagged its second Oscars on March 12, 2023. The much-awaited Best Original Song award was bagged by the RRR track ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the 95th Academy Awards. Helmed by SS Rajamouli, and starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, the award was received by music composer MM Keeravaani and lyricist Chandrabose. Ahead of the coveted win, the song was performed at the Oscars by the singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava with 20 dancers.

RRR is a fictional tale of two Indian revolutionaries, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju. The film explores the friendship between Ram and Bheem and their journey away from home during the 1920s.
