Prime Video released the trailer of its upcoming Hindi crime thriller series Daldal on Tuesday. The series, which will stream exclusively on the platform from January 30, is based on Vish Dhamija’s novel ‘Bhendi Bazaar’ and is set against the backdrop of Mumbai.
A Prime Original, Daldal follows the story of DCP Rita Ferreira, played by Bhumi Satish Pednekkar, who is tasked with investigating a series of murders linked to a serial killer. The trailer expands on the mood established by the teaser released earlier this month, offering a closer look at the investigation and the psychological strain faced by the lead character as the case progresses.
The series is directed by Amrit Raj Gupta and produced by Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni under the banner of Abundantia Entertainment. It is created by Suresh Triveni and written by Sreekanth Agneeaswaran, Rohan D’Souza, and Priya Saggi, with dialogues by Suresh Triveni and Hussain Haidry. The cast also includes Samara Tijori and Aditya Rawal in prominent roles.
According to the makers, Daldal explores the personal and professional challenges faced by a senior police officer navigating a high-pressure investigation. As shown in the trailer, the narrative focuses on the increasing tension surrounding the case, the impact of the crimes on the city, and the toll the pursuit takes on Rita Ferreira as she confronts institutional pressure and her own unresolved past.

Daldal will premiere on Prime Video in India and across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The series is part of Prime Video’s upcoming slate of crime and thriller titles scheduled to release later this season, alongside international and Indian productions, including Cross season two, Young Sherlock, Scarpetta, 56 Days, and the Telugu film Cheekatilo.
