One of the highly anticipated films of the year is Sanjay Dutt biopic titled Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. The film, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, will tell the tale of the bad boy of Bollywood who went through craziest phases in his life in front of the limelight. From being a star kid to big Bollywood debut, drug addiction to assault rifle possession, marriages and several affairs to the dark side of Bollywood, Hirani plans to take the audience on a rollercoaster journey with this film. Ranbir has gone to immense physical transformation to match up Sanjay Dutt's drastic transformations through his life. As Sanjay and Ranbir recently shot a promotional song, celebrity hair-stylist Aalim Hakim revealed an interesting tale about both actors.

Aalim Hakim has styled Ranbir Kapoor's Rocky look for Sanju's promotional song. The stylist was emotional on May 31 when they shot the song. So it turns out, his father Hakim Kairanvi was the hair stylist for Sanjay Dutt and had created the look for his debut film Rocky. Sharing an old picture of his father with Sanjay and sharing his pictures with Ranbir, he was taking it all in as life had come full circle for him. He recreated the Rocky look as Ranbir sat in the chair waiting to give his shot.

Aalim Hakim captioned images, "My Dad Hakim Kairanvi created the look for Sanjay Dutt’s debut film Rocky 1981. I was truly honoured when I got the chance to recreate the same Rocky look of Sanju sir for Ranbir Kapoor in 2018. When I showed the pic of my Dad with Sanju to Ranbir, He got damn excited and we tried to recreate the same pic by giving the same pose. I really enjoyed creating all the looks for Ranbir for film Sanju, as I happened to be the hairstylist for Sanju sir in real life as well:) Ranbir is a Rockstar and has pulled off all the looks so beautifully... It looks like he is wearing the skin of Sanjay Dutt... Hats Off. Also not many people know that Sanjay Dutt’s @duttsanjay mundane (After Birth 1st Haircut) was also done by dad Hakim Kairanvi."

Written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju also stars an ensemble cast in addition to Ranbir Kapoor which includes Anushka Sharma, Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Manisha Koirala, Jim Sarbh, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
