Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu, director Buchi Babu Sana, producer Venkata Satish Kilaru and cinematographer Ratnavelu attended the trailer launch of their film Peddi at a multiplex in Mumbai. Fans of Ram Charan were also in attendance in full form and they couldn’t stop hooting and cheering for their favourite star. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor also got her share of cheers, more so after her headline-worthy statements.
Janhvi began by saying, “We are working on this film for the last 2 years and this is the first time that even I have seen the trailer. I am so happy seeing the hard work of the team and the love of the fans.”
When asked the secret to her arresting screen presence and performance, the actress replied, “It was all Buchi sir. As Rahman sir rightly said, he looks very innocent, but that’s the case. He’s the rowdiest director of India (smiles)!”
She continued on a serious note, “Honestly, it’s an honour for me. The film has given me a lot. Hopefully, after June 4, I’ll get a lot more love. I didn’t have many scenes with Divyenndu ji, but hopefully, in the future, I’ll have more screen time with him. This is my second film with Ratnavelu sir and I think I look the best in front of his camera! It's always an honour to be a part of the film where Rahman sir is composing the music.”
Then she again spoke about Buchi Babu Sana, “And this person standing next to me has changed me in so many ways. The way I call him, he has become my best friend. Everyday, I have to make at least one call to Buchi sir. I ask him, ‘Sir kaisa jaa raha hai’, ‘Sir, dubbing karein’. Faltu ki baatein karti hoon main because I know that my shoot is complete. Yet, it goes to show the investment.”

She then praised Ram Charan, “It’s been one of the biggest honours of my life to have worked with Ram sir. Because of the love that everyone has given to mom (Sridevi) and Chiranjeevi sir over the years, I understand there’s a different connection that people have with us. So, it felt very cosmic to come together for this very special film with him. He really is the best person!”
Janhvi ended by saying, “I hope that you all enjoy everything he has given to this film. We all have given a piece of our hearts to this film.”
Peddi releases in cinemas on June 4. The film is co-produced by Ishan Saksena under his banner IVY Entertainment.
