The makers of Dacoit are set to amplify excitement around the film with a grand on-ground event for the launch of its upcoming track ‘Touchbuddy’. Actors Pawan Singh and Adivi Sesh, along with singer Jonita Gandhi, will come together for the high-energy unveiling in Gorakhpur.
The song is positioned as a vibrant, cross-cultural number, blending Bhojpuri musical elements with a contemporary South Indian style. “Blending the high-octane energy of Bhojpuri beats with an unmistakable dose of South swag, ‘Touchbuddy’ promises to be a fun, peppy, cross-cultural musical extravaganza,” the makers said, signalling its mass appeal. The track is also being projected as a potential summer chart-topper, with expectations of strong resonance among diverse audiences.
The launch event is scheduled to take place on March 28 at Mahant Digvijaynath Park in Gorakhpur from 6 pm onwards. The evening is expected to draw significant crowds, with the presence of the film’s cast and a live showcase adding to the scale and excitement. The organizers are positioning the event as a large-scale fan engagement moment, combining music, performance and star interaction.
Dacoit marks the directorial debut of Shaneil Deo and is backed by producer Supriya Yarlagadda, with Suniel Narang serving as co-producer. The film is presented by Annapurna Studios and is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu.
The story and screenplay have been jointly written by Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. With anticipation already building around the project, Dacoit is slated for a Pan-India theatrical release on April 10, 2026, with ‘Touchbuddy’ expected to play a key role in driving its promotional momentum.
