On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam attack, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and music label T-Series shared emotional tributes remembering the victims of the tragedy that shook the country in April 2025.
Taking to social media, T-Series posted a note reflecting on the lasting impact of the attack. The statement read, “Some losses do not pass through time. They stay with it. Pahalgam attack is one such loss. A year has passed since the Pahalgam attack, yet the weight of it still lingers. Today, we remember the lives lost not as headlines, but as people with dreams, families, and futures that were taken far too soon.”
The note further emphasised how violence leaves a deep imprint beyond immediate loss. “Each life was a story left unfinished, a home that continues to carry absence, and a grief that extends far beyond those directly affected. Such violence does more than take lives. It leaves behind a silence that echoes and reminds us of how fragile peace can be.”

Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri also shared a detailed message marking the occasion. Reflecting on the victims and their families, he wrote, “A year has passed. But some days do not move forward. They stay where they broke. I keep thinking about the people we lost in Pahalgam.”
He added, “26 lives lost. 26 widows. 26 families shattered. But the damage is far deeper. Millions of hopes destroyed, a nation wounded, and humanity itself questioned. Terrorism does not just kill people. It interrupts lives mid-sentence.”
Calling for remembrance with responsibility, Agnihotri said, “Today is not about just the remembrance. Today is about a quiet, unwavering resolve that no idea, no cause, no belief can ever justify the taking of innocent lives. We owe them memory. We owe them dignity.”

The tributes come nearly a month after Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and T-Series head Bhushan Kumar announced their collaboration on the upcoming film Operation Sindoor. The project is being mounted as a large-scale military drama under T-Series and I Am Buddha Productions.
The Pahalgam attack took place on April 22, 2025, at Baisaran Valley in Jammu and Kashmir, where armed militants opened fire on tourists, resulting in the deaths of 26 people.
