Despite the many controversies lurking around Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi, Kangna Ranaut’s ambitious film on Rani Laxmibai, the actress has kick started the preps for the same. While earlier there were rumours of her taking horse riding lessons for the same, here we spotted the actress getting into action mode.

In fact, for the battle sequences, Kangna Ranaut will be seen doing some extensive sword fighting sequences in the film. For the same, the actress has undergoing physical training and even practicing sword fighting as well as hand to hand combat with none other than the renowned Hollywood stunt coordinator Nick Powell.

Talking about the grueling schedule with Nick, Kangna revealed that she is currently practicing for two hours with him but will soon manage to finish three to four hours once she builds up her stamina. Kangna also spoke about the advice she received from Nick who told her that for a woman to look convincing as a powerful character in an action sequence it is the speed that matters more than strength.

As far as the training is concerned, the actress has kick started the same from today onwards under the instructions of Nick. In fact, the action director also made sure if Kangna will be able to pull off these sequences with a wrist test. Kangna also appreciated her entire team including her director Krish as well as Bahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad who has scripted the film as well as its action sequences for their enthusiastic spirit.

She also expressed her gratitude towards the producers who have now got Nick on board. On the other hand, the actress is impressed with Nick’s body of work which includes some great action films like Braveheart, Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men: The Last Stand, The Last Samurai among others.
