Actor Neha Dhupia has responded to reports suggesting she would be participating in Season 2 of The Traitors India, putting speculation to rest with a lighthearted social media clarification.
On March 25, the actor took to her social media handle and wrote, “Neither am I a ‘traitor’ nor am I an ‘innocent’. I’m just too busy going on #DOUBLEDATE s Coming soon.”

Her post comes shortly after reports claimed that she had been finalised as one of the contestants on the upcoming season of the reality series hosted by Karan Johar on Prime Video. Earlier reports had suggested that she would be joining a lineup that includes Sanjay Kapoor and Krystle D'Souza, along with names such as Shalini Passi, Shweta Tiwari, Abhishek Malhan, Munawar Faruqui, Elvish Yadav, Dalip Tahil, Parul Gulati and Rubina Dilaik.
The second season of the strategy-based reality series was officially confirmed earlier this year at Prime Video’s It Starts Here event. Following the announcement, filming for the new season is understood to have already begun, with reports about potential contestants continuing to circulate online.
According to a report by The Times of India, the makers had also approached Bipasha Basu for the upcoming season. The report stated that discussions had reached advanced stages before the actor decided not to participate, as she was not keen on taking up a reality show at this time.
The Indian adaptation of The Traitors returned strong viewership response in its debut season and has since been renewed for a second outing on Prime Video. Hosted by Karan Johar, the show is expected to return to Suryagarh Palace later this year for another round of strategy-driven gameplay.
Season 1 featured 20 personalities from the entertainment industry, including Anshula Kapoor, Jannat Zubair, Uorfi Javed and Raftaar. Contestants competed in a format built around identifying “traitors” and protecting the “innocents” while navigating eliminations and strategic alliances for a prize of Rs. 1 crore. The season concluded with “innocents” Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther emerging as winners.
