An ode to heart breaks; loss of loved ones and long-distance relationships gone awry in this pandemic, ‘Adhoori Kahani’ is a three-minute music video addressing the sadness of the season. The music video is launched by Zee Music.
Written by prominent music artists Harish Moyal, Indian Idol season one finalist, and directed by Sunil J. Jain of Mumbai-based leading production house Rajlakshmi Creation, who has contributed his talent to over 30 movies in Bollywood and Tollywood, the video has debut actress Krisheka Patel gracefully enacting and encompassing the gloominess experienced by lovers. This being her debut project, Patel comes from the renowned New York Film Academy with vivid experience in fashion and leading in pageant shows. She started her work with The Buddy Project on Channel V and rose to fame from thereon.
Jointly produced by Anirudh Dhoot & Sunil J. Jain the music video narrates a love story that is left incomplete and the heavy air of sorrow that follows. An art patron and music lover by nature, Dhoot says, “The power of music to narrate emotions is unique. While several issues came to the notice of the mainstream media during the pandemic, love stories lay forgotten. People drifted away, some lost and some broken. The video album aims to capture the essence of their feelings.”
Having performed over 3000 live shows across the globe, Moyal shares, “Writing for the video was an experience in itself. My special thanks to director Sunil J.Jain who beautifully distilled sadness artistically in a 3-minute video. It was wonderfully done in a span of 21-days amidst heavy showers in Madh Island, Mumbai. Every single element -- lyrics, setting, cast, cinematography to music -- was in sync with the theme.”
