Mishikka Chaurasia reveals that Kiara Advani was the first choice for Anari Is Backk: “Pahlaj Nihalani realized that since Nawab Khan is a newcomer, Kiara wouldn’t have agreed”

The beautiful Mishikka Chaurasia is gearing up for the release of her film Anari Is Backk, which will be out on November 24. It sees her in an interesting role opposite newcomer Nawab Khan. In an interaction with Complete Cinema magazine, she revealed that it was Kiara Advani who was the first choice for the part that she played.

Mishikka Chaurasia began by talking highly of producer Pahlaj Nihalani, who launched her in Rangeela Raja (2019). She said, " I am indebted to him for life. He launched me. For Anari Is Backk, he was considering casting Kiara Advani but then he thought that since Nawab is a newcomer, Kiara won’t agree. That’s how I came into the picture. And I liked the character and story and agreed to do the film."

She added, "He also told me that Divya Bharti was not ready to work with new actors. He knows what works and what doesn’t (for films starring new faces)."

Mishikka Chaurasia has signed a three-film deal with the veteran producer. She's also a part of his next film, Mafia Queen. The first look was unveiled last year and the teaser is expected to be out soon.

While she worked with Govinda in Rangeela Raja, in Anari Is Backk, she shares screen space with Mithun Chakraborty. Mishikka Chaurasia, however, claimed that she didn't feel nervous working with these legends. She remarked, "I didn’t get nervous as they were very nice and sweet on the sets. They made me comfortable. And anyway, nervousness mujhe generally nahin aati (laughs)!"

She also had a good bond with the newbie, Nawab Khan, "We used to mutually decide ki ‘yeh shot aise karte hai’. It was not like this was my second film and so I should act superior. That was never the case. Agar woh aaj uss jagah pe hai, wahaan pe ek time pe main bhi toh thi."

The highlight of the Anari Is Backk trailer is her claiming ‘Main madam ki boy hoon’. On this, she revealed, "I burst out laughing when the writer narrated to me the story. While performing the scene, I couldn’t control my laughter. Even Mithun sir started laughing. After the shot, he started telling me ‘Boy, come here’!"

When asked about her Diwali plans, she said, "I’d request everyone not to burst fireworks as our pollution levels have gone up to unprecedented levels. Hence, please don’t burst pataka. Be a pataka instead this Diwali!"

While signing off, she spoke about her social work, "I am planning to plant 2400 plants in an attempt to curb pollution. I contribute to blind schools, orphanages, old age homes etc. I feed stray dogs and cows and even help underprivileged kids."
