The Lions club of SOL Mumbai last 28 years have been instrumental for successfully creating a star-studded event every year. The mind behind these awards Lion Dr. Raju V Manwani who has been initiating the event has been felicitating and recognising the deserving from different walks of life.

Right from felicitating and handling the welfare of war widows who lost their husband and family members lives in serving the nation and the specially challenged who are in need of personal assistance or medical requirement. Dr. Raju Manwani has made it a point to do the needful through the route of Lions Gold Awards and further setup an entertaining show with the in-house talents and celebrities from Bollywood Television and OTT.

Renowned actress Priyanka Chopra also acknowledged the work done by Mr. Manwani and Lions. “Thank you so much Lions Club of SOL who have adopted the welfare of war widows and their families thank you so much for honouring my father (Ashok Chopra) and keeping his name alive and really have always appreciated the work that you do and continue to do so”, added Priyanka.

It’s been 10 long years since Manwani joined hands with senior journalist and partner, Co-founder an elite Entertainment portal. Nishant A Bhuse who is responsible for inviting and co-ordinating with the celebrities and choosing the deserving ones through polls on social media and with the association of some serious film critics. The lions from last decade in association with Bhuse has felicitated more than 600 renowned and respected celebrities from Cinema, music and television.

Dr. Raju. V Manwani has praises for Bhuse, “Since we have associated with Nishant, we have been having stress free events. Also since we are a charity club the attendance of celebrities bring glitterati to our audiences who come from different walks of life and perhaps have never interacted or sighted the celebrities in flesh.”

This year too was special with talents like Ranveer Singh, Aayushman Khurrana, Vani Kapoor, Miss World and now debutant Manushi Chillar, Nushhrat Barucha, Alaya F, Harshvardan Rane, Nakul Mehta, Karan Kundra and others making their presence felt.

Nishant concluded, “For me serving Lions is not commercial but sentimental values attached to the Club who assisted me when I had a family medical emergency. Also it gives me a feel of achievement when I can reach out to genuine talents and felicitate them”.
