Netflix is celebrating the season of love with the newest and refreshing pair in the tinsel town, Meenakshi and Sunderashwar. Played by Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani, Meenakshi Sundareshwar explores the love story of newlyweds and their relatable journey in finding romance, set in the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu - Madurai. A film that celebrates love and romance cannot be complete with a song that beautifully expresses the same.
On Thursday, the makers of Meenakshi Sundareshwar dropped the song ‘Mann Kesar Kesar’ that captures the pure and innocent relationship between Meenakshi and Sundar and their families. The song begins with a beautiful montage of Madurai- the temples, the hustle-bustle of a wedding house, and the human bond as two families get together to celebrate the union of two individuals.
Sanya and Abhimanyu can be seen lost in love as they prepare for their big day and their way of expressing love for each other makes for the highlight of the song. In one of the scenes, Sanya as Meenakshi is seen dancing her heart out in her house during the pre-wedding celebration in the presence of all family and guests. Interestingly, the dance was totally impromptu and not choreographed. The actress got into the rhythm of the celebrations and broke into a happy dance which totally worked for the story and the song.
The beautiful song is sung by Shashwat Singh and Aanandi Joshi and penned by Raj Shekhar. While the song is in Hindi, the Tamil lyrics in between add to the flavour of the song.
Directed by debutant Vivek Soni, the film is written by Aarsh Vora and Vivek Soni. The film will be released on November 5 on Netflix.
