Not too long ago, when his daughter Alia Bhatt delivered her first baby, daughter Raha, a thrilled Mahesh Bhatt reminisced about the time he saw Alia as an infant. The proud grandfather has never shied away from showcasing his love for his grandchild and now as a special gift from him, he wanted to leave his voice as a legacy for his granddaughter Raha. He revealed that he completed the recording of his book U.G. Krishnamurti: A Life for its audio version, and also informed that he will be dedicating his third book to his granddaughter.

In an interview with Outlook India, Mahesh Bhatt revealed about his special gift to his granddaughter saying, "I needed to leave my own voice for my grandchild, Alia's daughter, who is now being called Raha. So someday, years later, she will hear the words of her grandfather talking passionately about this fascinating man whom he has a very intimate relationship with for over the last 30-35 years." For the unversed, Mahesh Bhatt wrote his first book which was a biography on his spiritual guru and intellectual U. G. Krishnamurti that was published in 1992. Later, he also published another book on him, titled, A Taste of Life: The Last Days of U.G. Krishnamurti in 2009.

Now, the filmmaker also revealed that he is publishing a third book that will be dedicated to his granddaughter Raha. He added, “I'm just about beginning my work on my third book, which is ploughing through the embers of my life. I'm 74 now, almost seven and a half decades on this planet. A journey, I will call it the last chapter, I'm calling it 'The Last Chapter', where when you come towards the end of the story and you look back and understand your life differently and the events of the lives resonate, echoing in your heart in a very different way. So I've just begun that work. I began working on it and again, this would be dedicated to my grandchild Raha."

Mahesh Bhatt is currently working on the 1920 horror franchise and also revealed that it is in the final stages of editing.
