Actors Ravi Kishan, Naila Grrewal, Nidhi Bisht, Anjum Batra, Anant Joshi and Kusha Kapila, creator Saurabh Khanna, director Rahul Pandey, writer Kunal Aneja and Tanya Bami, Series Head, India, Netflix, attended the trailer launch of their show Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 in Mumbai. Ravi was the highlight of the show and his impromptu dance on his entry caught everyone by surprise. He raised laughs when a journalist asked him about any illegal act that he had committed in his life.
Ravi Kishan began by saying, “I used to do something weird as a child. There was a temple of Lord Hanuman near my place. Every Saturday, people used to stick coins using chandan on the idol. Main woh paise chura leta tha! I used to assume ‘Bhagwan mujhe pyaar karte hai’. I didn’t fear God then and I don’t fear now. That’s how I keep chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev’.”
He continued, “Mujhe lagta tha ki woh paise mere liye chipkaaye hai logon ne aur main woh paise le sakta hoon! In the train, I also travelled ticketless in trains and buses. But since I was a priest’s son, my father had taught me a lot of good values. I then understood that we must never break law aur galat kaam nahin karna chahiye.”
He further stated, “Age taught me even more and now, I detest such acts because I myself am a lawmaker. I don’t encourage such behaviour from anybody, whether it’s my family members or anyone. I humbly request everyone who know me well not to take undue advantage of my power. Aap galat ho toh main saath nahin dunga.”
The host asked, in a lighter vein, where the temple is located so that he could also pick up some coins. Ravi Kishan told him, “The temple still exists and it’s in Hill Road, Bandra West. I used to visit the temple every Saturday, kyunki uss din zyada paise chipke rehte the!”
