Netflix has added the romantic comedy series #Love to its Next on Netflix 2026 slate. The series explores modern romance through the lens of technology, dating culture and the contrasting philosophies of chemistry and compatibility.
Set in the fast-paced world of tech startups, #Love follows Tara, a young and driven founder who has built a dating app based on compatibility. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with Matthew, a charismatic investor who supports a dating app that prioritises chemistry. The two find themselves in a situation where they challenge each other to settle the debate of chemistry versus compatibility once and for all.
The show’s premise is anchored in the contemporary dating landscape, where relationships are often shaped by algorithms, swipes and quick decisions. By positioning the debate between chemistry and compatibility at the centre of the story, the series aims to explore how modern couples navigate expectations, communication and emotional vulnerability.

The series is created and produced by Soundarya Rajnikanth, who also serves as showrunner. Balaji Mohan directs the series, with the script written by Nirmal Williams, and co-written by Sharada Subramanian and Shweta Chakravarty. The production is handled by May6 Entertainment Factory.
The key cast includes Arjun Das and Aishwarya Lekshmi, who play the lead roles of Matthew and Tara respectively. The series is expected to explore their evolving dynamic as both characters navigate professional ambitions, personal beliefs and the emotional realities of modern romance.
