Alisha became one of the most discussed characters of today owing to how contemporary and real her problems and life were. Playing a yoga instructor, Deepika dived deep into the mind of a person struggling with her personal relationships while dealing with the mental trauma of her childhood and also trying to make ends meet professionally. She does all of this while hiding the biggest lie about cheating on her boyfriend with her cousin's fiance. Her character kind of portrayed independence, while living in the fear of getting caught but still flowing with the wrong sometimes is exactly why this character is so relevant and relatable for many contemporary women. Many who had been through similar situations, could feel what Alisha felt like a woman.

Even with her stature, the actress did not shy away from playing a character like this, which was clearly a big move for herself and her career. To be able to show her flaws, embracing it and all her various breakdowns in different situations, were so intricately and sensitively played by the superstar.
