The first day of the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019 edition saw the Delhi based sisters, designer duo, Gauri and Nainika showcase their collection titled “The Art of Latte”. Turning showstopper for the show was Yami Gautam who strutted in utter aplomb wearing cowboy boots with her billowing tulle dress adding all the drama! The show presented in collaboration with Lakme Salon saw the duo bring on the ramp a vibrant collection distinctly inspired by romance, freedom and fun. A regular showstopper at fashion weeks, the flawless diva, Yami Gautam makes heads turn with her easy smile, affable nature and classic good looks. The actress is riding high on the critical and commercial acclaim garnered for her last release Uri with actor Vicky Kaushal.
The collection paid an ode to the mood of the contemporary woman, her confidence, elegance, glamour, drama and the desire to stand out without trying too hard. Featuring a mix of statement-making frocks with silhouettes ranging from easy to dramatic in earthy tones and dessert hues together compliment the ‘Art of Latte’ colour palette. Usage of fabrics such as chiffon, crepe de chine, organza and micro crepe added a luxurious feel to the line. The models sashayed wearing high-low dresses with signature floor-sweeping trains, billowing organza sashes, and breezy wraparounds. Additionally, the models sported specially created hair looks inspired by Lakme Salon’s new cut and colour collection.
