Kunal Kemmu made his directorial debut through the recently released comedy Madgaon Express. The film, which recently completed its first weekend, has been garnering a positive response from the audience and critics alike and is, so far, doing well at the box office as well. It stars an ensemble cast of Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, Avinash Tiwary, Nora Fatehi, Chhaya Kadam and Upendra Limaye.
In order to thank his team, crew and the audience, Kunal penned a long note on his official Instagram page. Since the film celebrates the spirit of friendship, he shared his experience of shooting the film from Day 1 to the last day of shoot and also expressed gratitude to the audiences for showering the love on the film.
He shared a series of photos from the shoot and wrote, “From day 1 of shoot to the day I said the last pack up on the sets of Madgaon Express. Each day has been so special in so many ways. And I couldn’t have done it without my amazing team of actors and technicians. To the many colours of friendship that the film showcases and the many colours of my own personality that I got to explore through this film.”

He added, “I wish you all a very happy Holi and thank you so much for all the love that you have shown to our film. May this festival of colours bring you all you happiness and good luck #happyholi.”
Kunal’s post got an instant reply from his cast member Chhaya Kadam who posted a series of red heart emojis. Actress Amruta Khanvilkar commented, “Kunal what a mad mad film you’ve made …. And it truly reflects your impeccable comedy timing and talent …. Thoroughly enjoyed it …. Waiting for more.”
