Actor Kubbra Sait spoke about her experience working with veteran performer Nana Patekar during the trailer launch of their upcoming series Sankalp, sharing insights into the actor’s work process and discipline on set.
Addressing the media at the event, Kubbra described Patekar as someone whose approach to acting stood out to her during the shoot. Reflecting on the experience, she said, “Nana Patekar is a phenomenon. I have never seen an actor who writes the next day’s script with his own hands and then memorises every line himself. His writing is powerful, his involvement is absolute, and his dedication is unmatched. Watching him work has been one of the greatest learning experiences of my life.” Kubbra noted that observing Patekar’s preparation offered her a deeper understanding of the level of involvement some actors bring to their roles. According to her, his method of revisiting the script and preparing extensively before filming was one of the aspects that left an impression on her during the project.
While details about the storyline of Sankalp remain limited, the series marks another collaboration between established and younger actors within the industry. The project is expected to feature Patekar in a central role alongside Kubbra and other cast members. Kubbra Sait, who gained wider recognition for her performance in the streaming series Sacred Games, has continued to appear in films and digital projects over the past few years. Her film credits include titles such as Jawaani Jaaneman and Deva, where she played supporting roles.
Meanwhile, Nana Patekar has had a long career across Hindi and Marathi cinema, with performances in films such as Parinda, Krantiveer and Ab Tak Chhappan. Known for his intense screen presence and dialogue delivery, the actor has remained active in films and series over the decades.
