Kriti Sanon reveals about her character in Shehzada; says, “I play a lawyer; the female character in the original wasn’t”

Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon is busy with the promotional activities of her upcoming film Shehzada, starring opposite Kartik Aaryan. The actress is ready to enthral in the family entertainer Shehzada, alongside Kartik Aaryan, thanks to her stunning appearance in the teaser. The actress has received a tonne of adoration for her incredible chemistry with Kartik Aaryan. After Luka Chuppi's smash hit, the audience is excited to see this stunning couple on screen together.

2022 was a great year for Kriti Sanon as she received immense love for her film Mimi. Mid-day quoted Kriti Sanon saying, “I am probably in the best phase of my career, but I want to climb higher.” She further added how her upcoming film Shehzada is much like 90s films but with a modern touch. She said, “In the ’90s, we used to have films like Hum Aapke Hain Koun that were complete entertainers. Somewhere down the line, they stopped making such films. Shehzada is a modern version of that.”

Shehzada is a remake of Allu Arjun’s Telugu hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo which was a male-centric film. Kriti reveals that her character was different from the original one. She said, “My role is rewritten from the original. I play a lawyer; the female character in the original wasn’t [one]. My character is independent, strong-headed and doesn’t stand in the background. There are fresh scenes. Shehzada is a male-centric film. [Earlier, such movies] had female characters who were submissive and damsels in distress. That is changing.”

The star is juggling between The Crew, in which she appears alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu, with her upcoming Shehzada. She revealed, “I am working with female actors whom I admire; we don’t get to do this very often. This film is all about the camaraderie of the three characters. We are from three different generations, so it will be cool coming together.”

On the professional front, apart from Shehzada and The Crew, Kriti is all set to roar and reign in the coming year with major blockbuster releases. She will be next seen in Adipurush opposite Prabhas. The actress will also be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in an untitled film under Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films banner.
