The actress poured her heart out in an emotional tribute to veteran actor Pankaj Dheer, remembering his unconditional love and bond with her daughter Devika.

Actor Pankaj Dheer’s passing earlier this month left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and admirers. Taking to social media, Kratika posted a heartfelt note filled with cherished memories of her time with Pankaj Dheer. She recalled how he never liked being called an “in-law” and always insisted on calling her his daughter. “You never liked the word in-laws — you’d always say, ‘She’s my daughter,’ and that’s exactly how you treated me,” Kratika wrote.

In her post, the actress fondly remembered their bond, their long conversations, and his unique way of expressing affection. “You weren’t just my father-in-law; you were my Dad, my friend, my safe place. We’d talk for hours about everything and nothing, and now the silence feels so heavy without you,” she shared. Kratika also thanked him for the love he showered on her daughter, adding that little Devika will always remember him as her “Bestest Daadu.”

The post struck a chord with fans and industry colleagues, who flooded the comments section with messages of love and condolences. Many praised the touching note for reflecting the warmth and depth of their family bond.

Pankaj Dheer, who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 68, had been battling cancer. His funeral was held at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle West, Mumbai, where family and close friends from the film and television fraternity gathered to pay their last respects.

A beloved face in Indian entertainment, Dheer was best known for his iconic portrayal of Karna in the classic TV series Mahabharat. Over the decades, he appeared in popular shows such as Chandrakanta, The Great Maratha, Yug, and Badho Bahu, as well as several Bollywood films including Sadak, Soldier, Baadshah, and Taarzan: The Wonder Car.

His legacy continues through his son, actor Nikitin Dheer, and his family — who remember him not only as a talented performer but as a devoted father, doting grandfather, and a man of immense warmth.
