Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, who got engaged in October 2021 after less than a year of dating, legally wed on Sunday ahead of a larger ceremony in Italy later this year.

As a source told People magazine, after a "practice” wedding in Las Vegas on April 4, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker said "I do" on Sunday. According to the insider, the reality TV star and the drummer got legally married in Santa Barbara with a few close friends and family members in attendance. "They had to legally get married first ahead of their big Italian wedding, which is happening very soon," the source told the outlet. "All the details are set and the whole family, including all the kids, are very excited."

The couple made headlines in April when they exchanged vows in a surprise, late-night, impromptu wedding that took place after the 2022 Grammy Awards in a Las Vegas chapel, officiated by an Elvis impersonator. However, Kardashian and Barker confirmed at the time that their post-Grammys nuptials were not legal, as they did not have a marriage license. "Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license)," Kourtney wrote in an Instagram post about their unofficial Vegas wedding. "Practice makes perfect."

Kardashian and Barker have also been trying to have a baby, as chronicled on this season of The Kardashians. Kardashian already shares sons Mason, 12, and Reign, 7, as well as daughter Penelope, 9, with ex-Scott Disick while Barker shares son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16, with former wife Shanna Moakler.

The famous couple first got together in early 2021. After. The pair’s first public appearance as a couple was in September of that year at the MTV VMAs. The following month they announced they were engaged. This marriage would mark the Blink-182 drummer’s third marriage, after marriages with Melissa Kennedy and Shanna Moakler, and first for Kardashian.
