Having delivered blockbusters on screen together, being the biggest superstars of the country, the duo appeared together for the first time on a television screen Koffee With Karan Season 8, hosted by Karan Johar. In a heartwarming episode, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shared delightful insights into their love story, careers, and marriage. Among the revelations, Ranveer Singh disclosed that he had proposed to Deepika in 2015, and they managed to keep it a secret for three years.

When questioned about the diamond ring he presented to Deepika during the proposal, Ranveer Singh remarked, “Yes sir, beyond my resources at the time, perhaps, but even so a very impressive one.” He went on to recount the details of the proposal, saying, “So Ram-Leela happened and we were in this (dating phase). At one point, when I felt right I decided she was the one. So I thought before anything can happen just put a ring on it. I was in Cahoots with my sister and mom, acquiring the ring. We were going on a holiday and I decided that I'd propose to her on the holiday. I got the ring. And, my folks were like, ‘Are you going to propose? You don't want to consult her parents?’ I didn't have that degree or maturity back then. I was like, No, I'm marrying her so I'll ask her. So we go to the Maldives and I secretly carry the ring with me and we do the sandbank adventure.”

This delightful couple tied the knot in 2018, and during the show, they unveiled their wedding video, sharing a beautiful glimpse into their special day.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be seen in Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe Singham Again, while individually, Deepika Padukone will be seen in Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan and Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. On the other hand, Ranveer has signed Don 3 and reportedly Baiju Bawra.
