The new season of Koffee With Karan 8 saw its finale on January 18 with the show’s final episode, expressing gratitude towards the guests who arrived on the show along with the jury members also announcing the Koffee Awards of the season. Saif Ali Khan, who also received a lot of love for his candid Rapid Fire, eventually ended up winning the 'Best Male Performance' title and was unanimously voted by the entire jury, comprising of Kusha Kapila, Danish Sait, Tanmay Bhatt, and Sumukhi Suresh.

Saif Ali Khan arrived on Koffee With Karan 8 with his mother and yesteryear path-breaking actress Sharmila Tagore, and went on to share candid memories of his life in a rather witty manner. He went on to garner praise from the illustrious jury who not only appreciated his candour but also his elegance and suaveness on the couch.

Interestingly, the episode also received a lot of love from audiences with the actor marking his first appearance on television with mother Sharmila Tagore, and gave audiences a deeper insight into the refreshing mother-son bond they shared. Kusha Kapila affectionately dubbed him asa 'Suave' Ali Khan, praising his humor, whereas Tanmay Bhatt addressed him saying, “so classy." Sumukhi Suresh highlighted Saif's irresistible appeal, remarking, "You can see why Kareena is so obsessed with him."

In order to convey the news to the actor, himself, Karan Johar tried calling Saif, but asserted that he wouldn’t pick up his call. After an unsuccessful attempt, he decided to break the news to Bebo aka Saif’s wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and broke the news. The thrilled actress expressed her happiness adding, "Saif will be so happy. He's the most well-spoken in our industry. He is just the coolest."

Apart from Saif, Ananya Panday, Kajol-Rani Mukerji, Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone, and Varun Dhawan also received awards in different categories during the finale of Koffee With Karan 8 which dropped on Disney+ Hotstar on Thursday.
