KK’s ‘Yaaron’ gets new rendition ahead of Friendship Day; late singer’s kids Nakul and Taamara, Papon, Shaan, Benny Dayal and Dhvani Bhanushali croon the song

The nation is still in shock and grieving the loss of singer KK. The singer passed away in May 2022 in Kolkata due to cardiac arrest. His untimely death left the country in shock. As first Sunday of August every year is celebrated as Friendship Day, several sings and KK's kids have together for new rendition of KK's iconic song 'Yaaron'.

Considered as friendship anthem, the new rendition sees KK's kids Taamara and Nakul Krishna joined by several singers including Shaan, Benny Dayal, Papon, Dhvani Bhanushali and others. Sharing the video on his Instagram page, Nakul wrote, “Check it out guys! ‘Yaaron’ Forever!This was quite a bittersweet experience for me. Recording a few lines of the same song in the same booth dad sang in felt special, but I also missed sharing such a moment with him. In a strange way we finally sung together na @taamara.krishna? I really appreciate everyone who sang and was part of this with us and love how this turned out, hope you guys love it too. It’s always about love and friendship."

Following the loss of her father, Tamara had penned an emotional note remembering in him. “I would take the pain of losing you a 100 times, if it meant having you as my dad even for one second. Life is dark without you dad," she wrote. “You were the cutest most loving dad, who’d come home after a gig and wait to come lie down and give us cuddles. I miss you, I miss eating with you, I miss our laughing sessions, I miss our secret snacking rituals in the kitchen, I miss our farting competitions, I miss showing you my music and little voice note ideas, I miss your reaction dad. I miss holding your hand."

“You made us feel so safe and happy and loved and lucky. You were the realness this world needed, and now that you’re gone, none of it feels real. But your unconditional love has unknowingly prepared us to handle, even something like this. Your love is our strength," Taamara added.
