Kiara Advani has spoken candidly about the much-discussed bikini scene from War 2, reflecting on how her perspective on her body has changed after becoming a mother. In an interview with Vogue, the actor revealed that she underwent intense physical training for the scene, describing the process as one that required “immense discipline.” However, by the time the film was released, Kiara had already delivered her daughter, and her body no longer looked the way it did during the shoot.
Addressing the contrast, Kiara admitted that her initial instinct was to approach postpartum recovery the way she had earlier physical transformations for films. “After delivery, a part of me thought, ‘I’ve done this before, I’ll do it again,’” she said, before realising that the goal no longer felt the same. According to the actor, motherhood reshaped her relationship with her body, shifting the focus away from appearance and towards appreciation.
Kiara shared that losing weight or achieving a certain physical standard now feels far less important than recognising what her body has been capable of. “When I look at my body, I think, ‘Wow, you created a human.’ Nothing compares,” she said, adding that she now believes in respecting her body regardless of its shape or size. The actor emphasised that motherhood has taught her to value her body for its strength and function, rather than measuring it against past versions of herself.
