Kiara Advani reveals she had auditioned for Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha; says, “I really must have been terrible”

Kiara Advani was asked if she would audition for a role which isn’t a norm for many mainstream actors in the industry.

Over a year ago, Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha released in theatres. The actor starred alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film. For the role of the female lead, Kareena had to audition. Interestingly, Kiara Advani recently revealed that she also had auditioned for the same role.

During an interview with Film Companion, Kiara Advani was asked if she would audition for a role which isn’t a norm for many mainstream actors in the industry. Kiara said, “Yes, absolutely. In fact, I also auditioned for Laal Singh Chaddha. At that time, I didn't know it was for Laal Singh Chaddha. I really don't want to see that audition though. I really must have been terrible. It was many many years ago.”

Kiara continued, “Casting is such an important part of filmmaking. The right cast can add so much value. It's not about who's a better actor. It's about who's better suited for the part. It's always teamwork and it's so important to get the right cast for a film. It's absolutely wonderful to audition, great to know if you are suited for the part.”

On the work front, Kiara Advani has an array of line-up including Game Changer with Ram Charan. She will star in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.
