Sony Entertainment Television brought forth the Hindi remake of the superhit Turkish drama ‘1001 Nights’ (Binbir Gece), Kathaa Ankahee. Presenting a repentance love story, the show is centered around an unforgettable wound that creates a rift between Katha and Viaan. Featuring Adnan Khan as Viaan and Aditi Sharma as Katha, the story tugs at the hearts of the audience as it showcases how love emerges from the darkest of moments. So far, the viewers have witnessed how Katha, a single mother is hustling against time to source Rs. 1 crore for her son, Aarav’s surgery.

While she is broken from within, she puts on a smiling face in front of Aarav and continues to fight it out even after facing many rejections or disappointment with regards to collecting the funds. Amidst all the chaos that Katha is going through, she tries all her means to save her child, be it getting humiliated by her in-laws to asking for a bank loan or a desperate need to collect money via crowdsourcing websites that can lead to her job in trouble. Looking at Aarav’s critical condition, a helpless Katha even thinks of giving up her own life so that Aarav gets the insurance money.

After multiple trial and errors and exhausting all her resources, she receives an offer of Rs. 1 crore to betray her boss, Viaan’s company. But being a woman of principles, she even rejects the offer. Now she is left with only one way and that is requesting her boss Viaan to help her out with a loan of Rs. 1 crore rupees. But making Katha’s world fall apart with just one thing will be Viaan’s indecent proposal that leaves her stunned. Viaan gets ready to pay the amount but in return asks her to spend a night with him. Standing at a difficult crossroad in life, what will Katha do? Will Katha, a woman of integrity and self-worth let go of her self-respect for her son’s life? Or will she choose her self-respect?

Shedding light on the upcoming highpoint, Aditi Sharma said, “Mothers are an epitome of selfless love; For her, the child is the most priceless thing and she is always ready to walk on fire for them. Similar is the case with Katha who is running door to door to do everything possible to save Aarav who is losing out on time now. And, amidst all of this, she finds herself in a very difficult place where her son who is her life is literally counting his last breaths and on the other hand she can get the required amount of money but at the cost of scarring her self-respect forever. The difficult chapter of Katha’s life unfolds from here on where she is in a dilemma to choose between her child and an irreversible pain that is going to haunt her for life if she takes Viaan’s offer. While she cannot disclose the reason behind her need for money as she has lied to her office before about being single to secure the job.”

Adding further she continued, “Viaan, on the other hand, starts to have a different perception about Katha and tries to test her by putting forward the offer. This is one of the most challenging phases of Katha’s life which will definitely pique the interest of the audience as to figure out what will Katha, a single mother do? Shooting for this particular sequence was a slight challenge as there are so many emotions involved and as a mother I felt everything rushing within me. It still gives me goosebumps thinking about it. By far, it was one of the most difficult sequences that I shot and a part of it will always remain with me.”
