This Valentine’s Week 2024, cinemagoers have all the reasons to be excited as Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor starrer Jab We Met has been re-released in theatres. In 2023, around the same time, the film returned to the theatres after 16 years. With the re-release of the iconic Imtiaz Ali romantic comedy, Kareena Kapoor Khan has gone down memory lane.

Sharing a video clip featuring iconic moments of her character Geet with Aditya, played by Shahid Kapoor, Kareena is reminiscing the timelessness of the love story. Along with the video, the actress wrote, “Never gets old… by god #ValentinesFilmFestival.”

Jab We Met is primarily based in Mumbai, Bathinda, and Shimla, as it tells the story of a feisty Punjabi girl, Geet Dhillon, who is sent off track when she bumps into a depressed Mumbai businessman, Aditya Kashyap, on an overnight train to Delhi. While attempting to get him back on board when he alights at a station stop, both are left stranded in the middle of nowhere. Having walked out of his corporate business after being dumped by his girlfriend, Aditya has no destination in mind, until Geet forces him to accompany her back home to her family, and then on to elope with her secret boyfriend, Anshuman.

Currently, PVR INOX has made this Valentine’s week extra-special with a week-long festival from 9th-15th February’24. They are screening 22 love stories in several languages. The Hindi re-releases include Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Veer Zaara, Mohabattein, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, Pyar Ka Punchnama 1 & 2 and De De Pyar De.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will next star in Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders and The Crew alongside Tabu, Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh.
