Fresh off a stellar run on OTT, Karan Tacker has earned praise for his razor-sharp turn as undercover agent Farooq Ali in Special Ops Season 2 and his haunting, deeply empathetic portrayal of real-life paranormal investigator Gaurav Tiwari in Bhay: The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery—two performances that firmly underline his range and emotional command as an actor.
This growing gravitas in his on-screen choices seems to mirror the clarity with which Tacker now speaks off-screen. Increasingly candid about emotional well-being, masculinity, and the cost of silence, the actor recently opened up about how men navigate vulnerability, friendships, and emotional isolation, especially in moments of personal crisis.
During a podcast, he said, “You have to very carefully choose who are the closest people in your circle. And if you don't have those people, you'd rather fly solo because instead of weighing yourself down from constant judgement from the five people you assume to be the closest, you rather be alone. But I feel like today as a man, do you encourage another man to talk about his emotions?”

He added, “Till the time we don't allow conversations to happen, I don't think more men to reach out to each other saying, ‘Hey, you know what, there is something I want to talk to you about man. I'm going through a breakup I am not being able to handle it.’ I feel like yeh saari baatein aap tab karna shuru karoge jab aap pehle khud woh step loge. So, are you being vulnerable with your guy friends? If you are then that guy friend will feel vulnerable with you. And that's the cycle that's going to pick on.”
With multiple projects in development across OTT and long-format storytelling, spanning intense dramas and character-driven narratives, the actor will be seen in a few projects which will be announced soon.
