Filmmaker Karan Johar was seen in conversation with Hollywood actress Charlize Theron on Saturday in New Delhi. The director hosted a panel for the Hollywood star and talked about everything related to movies and more.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a series of photos and wrote, “Had the pleasure and privilege of being in conversation with the absolutely lovely and stunning @charlizeafrica …. At the #htleadershipsummit She was so eloquent, warm and so compassionate.”

Talking about cancel culture, Theron told Johar at the HT Summit 2023, “A lot of times, I tell my own daughter, that… what you’re doing [on social media] is not written in pencil; you’re not going to be able to erase it. It scares her. And there’s a part of me that wants to tell her, ‘Go, make mistakes, learn from them and be better!’ We have to be able to make this space,” she said.

While talking about her journey Theron shared, “When I started auditioning, I had a naive confidence. I would just walk into the door and be, ‘Yeah, I’m the one you want for this part!’. I think we overthink things. Because as artists and storytellers seeking magic, it’s that thing you discover in the moment, not the thing you rehearse, that’s magical.”

Karan expressed his sadness that Theron has closed the chapter for romantic movies in her life. “I have not related to a lot of romantic comedies because my love life has never looked like a romantic comedy,” she said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan Johar last directed a love story Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
