Niranjan Iyengar, a well-known writer in Bollywood, is all set to make his directorial debut with a Ruskin Bond love story. Iyengar has previously written for films such as Jism, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and My Name Is Khan. The film is yet to be titled, but it is based on one of Bond's most popular short stories.
Iyengar's directorial debut has already received a lot of positive reactions from the industry. Director-producer Karan Johar took to his Instagram Story to congratulate Iyengar on his new project.
"Niru!!!!," KJo wrote. "So excited and proud of you.... From storyteller to filmmaker ... can't wait to see your experience and expertise on celluloid! Love you." Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan also shared an article about Iyengar's directorial debut and wrote a caption, which read, "Niruuuu just read this… so so happy for you… kill it … here cheering for you."
Simultaneously, Kajol, who worked with the writer in a film titled Devi, wrote, “Soar high and fly well. Love you.”
Coming back to the upcoming film, the yet-to-be-titled project will be headlined by Vikrant Massey. Meanwhile, the rest of the details about the cast of the film are under wraps.
