Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar recently graced the premiere of the film KILL, which he co-produced, at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival 2023 (TIFF). During his visit to the festival, he took a moment to share his thoughts with ET Canada about Priyanka Chopra's thriving career in Hollywood, describing her journey as nothing short of “fantastic.”

When asked to comment on Priyanka Chopra's transition from Bollywood to Hollywood and her success in the international arena, Karan Johar expressed his admiration for the actress’ remarkable achievements. He highlighted her ability to carve her own path to success, applauding her for consistently shining on various platforms and embodying values that resonate with audiences worldwide. He said, “To see her (Priyanka Chopra) grow from strength to strength, and truly achieve the kind of success that she has on her terms… and the way she has gone about it, she is always wonderful on every platform that she has ever been on, everything that she ever stands for and represents… it is fantastic.”

Karan Johar's praise for Priyanka Chopra's Hollywood journey is not without history. Earlier this year, Priyanka Chopra made headlines with her candid interview on Dax Shepard's podcast, where she opened-up about her experiences in Bollywood and her decision to explore Hollywood. In the interview, she candidly discussed her past conflicts within the industry and how these experiences influenced her decision to seek new horizons in Hollywood. She had said, “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.”

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in the Russo Brothers' Citadel. It premiered on Prime Video on April 28, 2023 and is also renewed for part 2. The actress was seen alongside Richard Madden in the series. Citadel is a web series created by The Russo Brothers. It features Priyanka as Nadia Sinh and Richard Madden as Mason Kane. Apart from Citadel, PeeCee was also seen in Love Again. Priyanka Chopra had also announced her next film titled Heads Of State, co-starring John Cena and Idris Elba.
