The area around Mumbai’s Haji Ali reverberated with chants of ‘Aujla Aujla’ as fans excitedly gathered at the Race Course for the ‘Karan Aujla P-Pop Culture India Tour’ on the evening of April 12. As expected, the entire 2-km radius witnessed massive traffic congestion. Karan took the stage at 8:00 pm and rocked the show for the next two hours, leaving fans wanting more.
The concert, organized by Team Innovation, was announced last month after Karan’s Holi special show in Mumbai was criticized for lack of shaded areas, unavailability of free drinking water, no sale of alcohol etc. Karan took cognizance of the complaint and promised that he would make up for it with his next concert. He touched fans by announcing that those who attended the Holi fest would receive free entry to the Race Course concert, with several ticket categories being upgraded. General Access and VIP tickets moved to the Silver category and Fan Zone tickets were upgraded to Gold.
Karan Aujla spoke about the Holi concert and linked it with his popular song, “Pichli baar, isse thodi kam log aaye the. Iss baar toh mahaul poora ‘Wavy’ ho gaya hai!” As fans cheered, he promised them, “Tonight is going to be one of the biggest nights of all of our lives. We are going to have the best time ever.”
Karan opened the show with a bang with the song ‘MF Gabhru’ followed by ‘52 Bars’, ‘Him’, ‘Chunni Meri Rang De Lalariya’, Jee Ni Lagda’, ‘Mexico’, ‘Wavy’, ‘Boyfriend’, ‘Gangsta’ etc. He also performed on ‘Tauba Tauba’ from Bad Newz (2024) and it got a massive response.
In between, Karan Aujla made viewers teary-eyed as he remembered Asha Bhosle, who passed away the same day. He then made them smile as he promoted his beverage brand, “Whoever is thirsty today, make sure you only drink Zyro. Nothing else!” He also confessed at one point, “Ek toh Hindi meri thodi thodi atak jaati hai beech mein!”
Fans, however, didn’t feel so as he spoke well in Hindi, Punjabi and English and also shared valuable advice. He stated, “I want to send out a message – if you’re doing something, keep doing it. Keep growing. A lot of people will try to pull you down everytime. But guess what? As long as God is with you, no matter how hard one tries, it won’t matter. Never give up!”
He remembered his parents, “If it was not for them, I wouldn’t be standing here today. So, everybody, make some noise for my mom and dad! I know they are watching me from up there and I remember them in every show.”
Karan continued, “Gen Z generation doesn’t respect parents. Apne maa baap ki izzat karna seekh lo! Maa baap ke bina kuch nahin hai iss duniya mein. Spread love, stop hating. Connect with your people. Talk to each other. If something is bothering you, don’t keep it inside. Share it with your friends and loved ones. One thing greater than hate is love.”
He made fans happy as he remarked, “Thank you to all come for coming out tonight. Kinne sone sone tussi poster leke aaye ho!” He asked, “So many people are here. I feel like coming down. Should I?” Fans hooted and said ‘Yes’. Karan accepted their request and came down. He walked in a specially barricaded zone right in the middle of the general fan section. He autographed a poster for a fan and then went on stage.
After some time, he ziplined to the general section, leaving the audience thrilled. Karan, too, was overwhelmed by the love and confessed, “I never imagined so many people would come to see me perform in Mumbai.”

Towards the end, he again remembered his Holi concert, “Last time, bahut mazaak ban gaya tha hamara. People asked, ‘Yeh kya Holi fest rakh diya?’. We agree that we made a mistake. Lekin aap log toh peeche hi pad gaye the yaar! But guess what? Karan Aujla is back (smiles).”
Fans went into a frenzy over this statement. The grand finale was truly spectacular, with a barrage of fireworks lighting up the sky. In short, it was a fitting end to a memorable evening.
