Kangana Ranaut calls herself a ‘replica’ of Madhubala : Bollywood News

Kangana Ranaut, who has been busy shooting Emergency, recently took to social media wherein she posted a series of photos of Madhubala, comparing her younger version to the yesteryear star. Referring to an article shared by an entertainment portal wherein she was addressed as one of the actresses who can essay the role of Madhubala in the evergreen star’s biopic, the actress posted a series of photos from her younger days in B-town, wherein she addressed herself as a ‘replica’ of the Mughal-E-Azam actress.

Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to share stories about her comparison with Madhubala. In the first story, the actress shared a photo of her from her initial days in Bollywood along with a caption that read, “As people want me to play cinema goddess Madhubala on screen, when I started out I was a replica of Madhubala's younger days not sure about it now”. She also posted a photo of the yesteryear actress from her film.

Followed by that, she also posted another photo of her posing with the Filmfare award and it featured two photos of Madhubala from her black-n-white films. The actress then continued sharing her own photos from her younger days in her Instagram stories.

Talking about her upcoming projects, Kangana Ranaut will be seen essaying the character of India’s one of the famous Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Emergency, which is set in the 70s era. Directed by the actress herself, the film will also star Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Choudhary, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair, Satish Kaushik, among others. Besides this, the actress will also be seen in the role of air force pilot in the upcoming film Tejas which focuses on making everyone proud of our brave soldiers.
