Karan Johar’s long standing project Kalank has finally taken off and how! If you are a powerful filmmaker like KJo, you will always get your dream cast! That is totally true because he managed to get Madhuri Dixit – Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan – Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha-Aditya Roy Kapur all under one roof. Naturally, the film is an epic love saga starring these reel life jodis. All of us know by now that Kjo’s first choice was not Madhuri but late Sridevi and that the movie was previously titled Shiddat. After rumours that the filmmaker would probably shelve the film, Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram for thanking Madhuri that she agreed to fill in her mother’s shoes. Then there were rumours flying thick and fast about how Madhuri and Sanjay Dutt did not want to eye to eye, let alone work in a love story with each other.

There was also a conjecture that Sanjay had walked out of the movie because of his ex-lady love’s presence. But the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director finally convinced Sanju Baba and the rest is history. Yesterday, Madhuri dropped at Dharma for a look test along with Sonakshi and Aditya and she was pretty darn excited to be a part of the film. She took to Twitter to write, “Just finished my shoot with @AnilKapoor and #indrakumar on the sets of #TotalDhamaal and was phenomenal as usual. Now arrived at the sets of #Kalank with @karanjohar for the look test. The sets are breathtaking. Can’t wait for you to see both films!!”

This is a double whammy for Madhuri as she is reuniting not just with Sanjay but also with her long-time favourite co-star Anil Kapoor! Now, that’s a treat to fans of this veteran star.
