Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan are regarded as one of Bollywood's most iconic on-screen pairs. Over the years, they have shared a remarkable rapport and have worked together in several successful films, creating a special bond between them. Audiences have been captivated by their sparkling chemistry, which has become synonymous with romance and charm. During a recent interview, Kajol spoke about SRK lifting her for the DDLJ poster.

Kajol told Curly Tales, “One thing that comes to my mind is how I got into that position by the way. Ek toh bechara Shah Rukh kandhe pe uthaake... mujhe itna bura lag raha tha uske liye, itna bura lag raha tha (Poor Shah Rukh was standing with me on his shoulder, I was feeling so bad for him). I was like, ‘are you sure you can do this?’ He said, ‘Don’t worry, I am strong.' I was like, ‘ya, but you have to carry me on your shoulder. Will you be able to?'”

Kajol agreed it looked very effortless, but said, “I was really worried about him. I think he took a hit onto his masculinity that ‘How can you say that to me? I am a guy.' He very sweetly carried me and didn't make me feel heavy at all… Later, there was frozen shoulder. Us waqt tha ‘wow’ (that time it was wow).”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol was recently seen in The Trial. It is a 2023 Indian legal drama streaming television series on Disney+ Hotstar. The series is an adaptation of Robert King and Michelle King's the Good Wife, being directed by Suparn Verma and featuring Kajol in the lead role. SRK will next be seen in Atlee's Jawan on September 7, 2023. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. Deepika is making a cameo in the film. He also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film is backed by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. It will release on the big screen on December 22, 2023. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role along with Satish Shah and Boman Irani.
