With the recent ban on plastic bags, there have been many celebrities who are encouraging others to do away with the material completely. One amongst them is Juhi Chawla who has been championing for the cause since its inception. In the past, the actress maintained that she has been disposing off all plastic products from her house. Now, she further went on to urge audiences to go plastic free this Diwali and also shared a video explaining the alternatives that can be used.

Considering that Diwali has been the time, where people often gift each other varied things, ranging from sweets to dry fruits many products, Juhi Chawla has taken to social media to speak about the trend. In the video shared by her on Instagram, she has spoken about how the packaging can be done using other substitutes which are lot less harmful and much more eco-friendly. Whether it is cloth or jute, the video also showcases images of how they prove to be elegant packing material for gifts.

Sharing the video on her social media page, Juhi Chawla also spoke about the concept in her caption saying, “Diwali is right around the corner. I'm sure you've stocked up your gifts already. On the work front, the actress is said to be reuniting with one of her most popular 90s co-star Anil Kapoor this time. She will be featuring alongside Anil and his daughter Sonam Kapoor in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga which also stars Rajkummar Rao in an integral role. Directed by Shelly Chopra, the film is slated to release on February 1, 2019.
